DOLCE & GABBANA: FASHION SHOW 2014 & BACKSTAGE PICTURES
MAY 26, 2013 COMMENTS OFF
Dolce & Gabbana paid tribute to the Byzantine mosaics of Monreale Cathedral in Sicily, Italy. Their magnificent fall/winter collection 2013/14 combines history, art, religion, couture and craftsmanship.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana brought mosaics and frescoes to life through icons and saints on glittering bejewelled dresses, be they fitted in the elegant Fifties style or short little shifts with gracious fluted sleeves. The models looked like princesses and queens with crowns on their heads, wearing beautiful tunics that were rich in pigment colours: red, green, blue, and golden yellow.
The caged heels on shoes that shimmered with flowers were nearly a piece of art. Big chandeliers and Fifties handbags completed the stylish look.
JETSET Fashion Magazine showed you the pictures and the video in February 2013, a few hours after the fashion show. Today, we show you the backstage pictures of the show. Take a look at Byzantine princess Karlie Kloss and her model friends.
