Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said Sunday she may ask the Scottish parliament not to back UK’s decision to leave the European Union, in an interview with the national broadcaster BBC.
"If the Scottish parliament was judging this on the basis of what’s right for Scotland then the option of saying, ‘We are not going to vote for something that is against Scotland’s interests' – of course, that’s going to be on the table," Sturgeon said.
The Scottish minister said previously that her government was going to enter in negotiations with EU nations in order to "protect Scotland’s place" in the European Union.
