Happy Holidays and to a great 2018 for all of us. (even though your personal New Year starts on your birthday). On January 1st, there is this Full Moon in Cancer (the Moon is at home there), it actually creates a “kite formation” the Moon pulling a heavy draw weight on a bow to shoot towards the goal of (Venus Sun Pluto and Saturn), with the (Mars and Neptune) as the two steady tension points on the bow limbs.

What does this mean?
It means the goal of this time is (Venus Saturn Pluto Saturn) = getting “real” long-lasting, profitable, fulfilling relationships (whether business or personal), deep, ones that grow and evolve our souls, “do the work” (Saturn), not afraid of the subconscious stuff (Pluto) and help us feel our perfect Self (Sun) – shining brightly upon this Earth the way we were meant to be…getting measurable results in the “real world”.
The tension you can see in the chart – is Mars and Neptune:
Mars (our desires and how we act on our desires (whether we grasp, take, war, fight, or with elegant finesse take informed action) + Neptune (ideals, fantasies, dreams).
If you get quiet enough inside you can possibly feel some tension the root cause based on what you “believe should be”, what you want and how you go about getting what you want, and why that isn’t happening in the way you imagined it (Neptune).
All this may be shrouded in a lot of fantasy (not truly accounting for the reality in front or you and what it demands) or your actions might be off a bit, too impatient, too clunky, too demanding at the wrong time, too intense or manipulative (Mars in Scorpio) etc.
See, this tension between ideals and actions needs to be adjusted now. Meaning yes, I have my ideal in mind, my inspiration, I want “real” stuff (money, work, health) – deep – truthful (fill in the blank)….I adjust the tension on my bow ( informed by my ideals) to reach the mark of what is going to be sustaining relationships, businesses, and projects….
It’s subtle..
Thank god, Saturn has moved into his home of Capricorn. Now, this is super for slow steady progress and accomplishment for the next 2 and a half years. But, it comes at the end of the year where we already beating ourselves up a bit, measuring our accomplishments or registering our progress, thoughts like… “wow, another year has passed and I’m still (fill in the blank)” type of feeling. And it is those feelings essentially caused by – 1. an arbitrary cutoff date based on an economic “year” combined with 2. the resting cycle of winter months.
Don’t let that feeling distract from that tension on your bow and your target…which might take a while to accomplish gracefully.
So the best way astrologically to handle this period is to access an attitude of slow steady progress, a disciplined state of mind and calculating, trial and error, adjustments to your path,
Being realistic – but as an archer with calculated tension, strength and focus, whether for a business, a relationship or creative project… is the way to go. This is not a year of “wishing, hoping or new age feeble manifestation techniques and delusional ideas of self-worth that lead to victimization. In front of you right now are the materials for the first step towards your goals.This involves taking small adjusted “measurable and informed actions” every day, to create the world you want to live in, starting with your daily life, the relationships you’ve been blessed with and the gifts of the Earth you have been asked to care for.
